Dave is the first generation of Yearwood men in seven generations not to work on the family ranch. While the Yearwood men like to give him a hard time for choosing playing in the ocean and making “water toys” (aka surfboards) over cattle & straw, his grandmother Marianne was always his biggest supporter. She sweetly reassured him that he would’ve held his own just fine.
